Apple crop value tops one million dollars in Walla Walla
A recent estimate shows the total value of the fruit crop from June 1 to November near one million dollars. Through November 10 about 819 carloads of fruit and vegetables have shipped from the valley, mainly prunes and apples, with growers receiving roughly 820 thousand dollars so far. Some cars may still be sent east, possibly 40 or 50 more.
