Fire Destroys Prof Wilkerson Home Near La Grande
The home of Prof. Robert Wilkerson, a high school faculty member, was destroyed by fire last evening north of La Grande. Only two trunks with clothing survived, as the family was away visiting neighbors during the blaze. Insurance is insufficient to cover losses including a new piano and furniture valued near $2,000, leaving the family homeless and staying with friends until arrangements are made.
