Walla Walla May 2 Special The second annual tri state meet finished with Lewiston Spokane Pendleton and Walla Walla leading in events. Jay of Pendleton starred with 21 points and multiple strong finishes as Island City La Grande and Baker City trailed. Final team scores listed with winners in discus high jump mile data and sprint events. Team results show Spokane Lewiston Pendleton and Walla Walla among top placers.

This morning Jake Guiling ran from La Grande to Elgin for the first time after a 10 month illness. The test trip could lead to his return to the regular logging train with Conductor Grady. Guiling has served 27 years with the Oregon Railroad & Navigation Company and is a pioneer on the O R N in Oregon.
