Foreclosure on a $2000 mortgage held by L C Branley of Chippewa Falls ends the La Grande Commercial Club. The building must be sold at auction with mortgage debt around $3000. Murder in Car of Wells-Fargo Messenger Bailey

Kansas City reports indicate investigators looked for Bailey's acquaintances to identify a friend who gained entry to his car and fatally attacked him with a hatchet. Officers suspect a slow-acting fatal blow and link the crime to a robbery of the express safe by an old railroad man.

Bomb victim identified by voice as Berkman linked to anarchists

New York police seek to indict Alexander Berkman for Saturday’s bomb attack. Berkman, ex-convict and reformed figure linked to Emma Goldman, is to be tested by hearing a wounded victim identify him by voice.
