Reclamation Service Plans Dike at Indian Creek Near Thistle
The United States Reclamation Service proposes a large dike project on Indian Creek about 36 miles from Thistle Utah. The project estimated to cost about 200000 dollars requires moving 80000 cubic yards of earth and 4800 cubic yards of rock plus paving and drainage work. Bids are due June 19 at 2 PM in Provo. The agency aims to spend 48000000 dollars on reclamation over four years and 30000000 acres potentially improved in the west with future eastern wetlands work to follow by national irrigation efforts.
