A night of cyclones in Arkansas left three dead and many injured as storms ripped through cities and rural areas. Rescue crews battled wreckage and power outages while officials urged caution and awaited full casualty tallies.
A tornado swept through eastern Arkansas last night killing three and injuring many. Fort Smith Van Buren and Little Rock faced the heaviest rainfall in decades with roofs blown off and basements flooded. the Arkansas River rising and a million dollar cotton crop damage reported. The Flat Rock creek bridge collapsed trapping a Frisco line freight train with no fatalities.
Spokane hosts the annual gathering of Clark backed firms with plans to sell Bonner property including dam and power rights. Missoula Light and Water proposes a $700,000 bond issue and stock rise to $700,000. Missoula Street Railway seeks $300,000 bonds and capital up to $300,000.
