Evangelist Seemore of Spokane is ready to open a gospel tabernacle on Fir Street. A 700-seat tent is being erected as meetings begin soon, following a full turnout at Walla Walla where he is praised as a strong preacher.
In Sonora California crowds search mountains for EB Liebseher who bound buttons on both sides of his 18 month old baby's tongue to prevent thumb sucking. After release from court he took the child from its caregiver and disappeared, last seen on a country road carrying the infant by the ankle. The infant's condition reported as unconscious by an informant.
The Fourth of July committee will meet to pay all bills against the Fourth fund. Most bills are in and they expect a small surplus for next year. The Crooked River project and Deschutes railroad efforts are noted, with prune totals and a Jersey cow left for owner to claim near Mt Emly by June 28.
