Touring Party In La Grande and Parade Echo Local News
A touring party including Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Sevier and Mr. Mire with their chauffeur reached La Grande last night after a mountain drive from Pendhioc. Their four cylinder Thames car, similar to the leading American car in the New York Park race, impressed Mr. Brown who praised its reliability. The vehicle was cleaned and is to be shipped to Lewiston by Witteman and Whiteman, then the party will return to Spoline. Grande Palmer’s parade day notes show gratitude to the parade committee for kindness and health permitting, four generations of the Palmer family would have joined the procession with Grandama enjoying the spectacle from her carriage.
