A five year old girl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Emmet McCoy of Ramela, suffered severe arm burns when her clothing caught fire near a stove during a morning visit to a neighbor. The blaze burst into flames as wind fanned the fire, and the mother, unable to reach her daughter in time, saved her by plunging the child into water while sustaining burns to her own arms. Dr Biggere treated the girl, and the mother remains badly burned but there is hope for the child's recovery.
