Wallowa Bridge Location Dispute Between Counties
The Elgin Recorder reports a dispute over the Wallowa bridge site. Commissioner Blumenstein states county judges agreed to a permanent bridge at the old site now moved about 400 feet upriver. The O R and N Co seeks a different location, while Wallowa County offers concessions to avoid antagonizing the railroad. Union County court has the case.
