Conductors Shifted in Oregon R&N after Week of Changes
Oregon Railroad and Navigation lines swapped several conductors last week. Changes include F. L. Coykendall moving to the Pendleton Portland run, C. H. Norris returning to Pendleton Huntington, J. C. Gulling taking the Pilot Rock run, and James Conners temporarily replacing Gulling on the La Grande Joseph run. Conners began duties this morning after summer work on a Wallowa County train. Meanwhile Walla Walla valley fruit shipments push year total toward 1,000,000 dollars as other towns add yield. Pendleton East Oregonian.

Prof. George Hendrick the piano tuner has bought a home in The Dalles and moved there with his family. Known as a first class tuner he has also led bands and orchestras. He raised the La Grande Concert band and the Steward opera house orchestra to standard works during the past five years in La Grande.

On December 7 1908 I impounded a red and white cow about 3 to 4 years old in La Grande Oregon. The animal bears a H shaped braid on the left hip ear marks and crops in both ears.
