Lewiston Normal Sees Enrollments Rise and New Buildings
Prof H A Hallowell reports Lewiston State Normal will reach an enrollment of 400 this year plus the practice school for a total of 600, making it the largest of six Pacific Northwest normals. Three new buildings a heating plant gymnasium and a domestic science arts building were completed. Six new faculty members with eastern university degrees join a staff of twenty five. New courses include rural school training and domestic science manual arts teacher training. The Lewiston Normal is west of the Mississippi the only institution training teachers for domestic science in high schools.
