Log Raft From Stella to San Francisco Sets Season Preview
A large cigar shaped log raft, about 7,000,000 feet, will depart Stella bound for San Francisco as the first of the season. A second raft toward the same destination is under way and more rafts are planned from the Columbia River to California. The steamship Olympic, Captain Hansen, arrived from San Francisco with 125 tons of chain and 504 tons of merchandise to be discharged at Columbia dock No 1 and Oak Street dock. On return, the Olympic will carry a cargo of laundry toward San Pedro firms. Also noted is a three act tract for sale at city Holts with farm and garden potential by The Real Estate Loan & Commission Co.
