A Portland grand jury indicted more than a dozen defendants charged with conspiring to acquire Southern Oregon timber lands by fraudulent means. Names are kept secret until arrests are made.
The forty eighth annual session of the grand lodge of Good Templars of Maine opened this morning at Modern Woodmen's hall in Waterville. The meeting will last two days and attendance is unusually large.
