About eighty attendees at a banquet in the Y M C A hall heard leaders from St. Paul and Milwaukee urge citywide canvassing to raise funds for the City Mission continuation. D C Dewey and A V Silloway urged support as Melvin E. Trotter fell ill en route to Milwaukee.
Generally fair tonight and Wednesday with little temperature change. Unsettled weather in Wisconsin with possible showers tonight or Wednesday and moderate variable winds. Minnesota will be fair to cooler in the west with variable winds and occasional cloudiness.

A divorced wife of real estate dealer Frank H. Ivy shot him at his home door in Los Angeles. Ivy was mortally wounded and she was wounded slightly by him as she fled, with her chauffeur detaining the attacker until police arrived. Motive not known.

Chas A Maesell arrived from Cleveland to learn his year old son Gustave had died of injuries from a stair fall on Saturday. The child, just learning to walk, fractured his skull after tumbling down stairs in St Paul Minnesota.
