In a channel between Feast Shore and Isle la Flame a skiff toppled and seven year old Robert Engebretsen sank twice. Wilbert Moers, son of Mr and Mrs William Moers, raced to the scene diving into the water and rescuing the boy on the first ascent and again after the second submersion. The father bore the first rescuer to shore and the boy was saved. Also in St Cloud France William T Tilden defeated W C Crawley of England to win the world hard court tennis championship singles title by a score of 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-3.
