The board of education endorses a four year plan to combine a football field baseball diamond and bath house at Copeland park north of Clinton street along the Black River. The plan calls for bonding for a grandstand lights and facilities with completion projected by 1954 and includes pivoting baseball bleachers for football use.
A developing storm over northeast Iowa threatens the Coulee Region with high winds and snow by afternoon. Meteorologist A D Sanial warned of much weather and plunging temperatures, with gusts up to 60 miles per hour and rivers rising as ice gorges complicate travel.
