Coon Valley Creamery Triples Output with New Evaporator

The Coon Valley Cooperative Creamery added a high capacity milk evaporator, enabling 13,000 pounds per hour and 40 percent moisture removal. It reuses water, provides clear effluent, and warns if contamination occurs. The plant cuts steam use, lowers costs, and adds an evaporated product line alongside existing drying operations. In 1962, milk receipts rose 162 percent to 35,356,197 pounds, with total receipts 54,955,432 pounds and product outputs including butter 1,612,343 pounds and cheddar 3,440,277 pounds.
