Marie Louise Blado and Christian Daniel Stefferud were married at St Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church Tomah Wisconsin on Sunday June 16 at 2 30 pm officiated by Rev O W Heier. The bride wore silk orsanza and taffeta gown with Venetian lace and a pearl crown veil. The couple will reside at 419 Woodard Ave Tomah and Stef ferud will train as a USAF pilot after October 1.

Former Black River Falls residents Elmer Hesla and Alma Gilbertson mark their 50th anniversary with three celebrations over the weekend. A June 15 dinner at Grays Harbor Country Club in Hoquiam honored their six children and families. an open house June 16 at Our Saviour's Lutheran in Aberdeen, Washington. and a family dinner hosted by Dr. and Mrs. James Shaw in Hoquiam. The couple wed June 11, 1913 in Black River Falls and later moved to Wakonda South Carolina, Aberdeen Washington and finally San Clemente California. They have 19 grandchildren.
