Area Woman Freed From 30 Years Confinement Near Centerville Wis

A 49 year old mentally deficient woman was released Tuesday after 30 years confined in a filthy upstairs room four miles north of Centerville Wisconsin. Authorities found her malnourished but in fair health and committed her to a state hospital in Madison for treatment. Neighbors recalled her as a high school freshman years ago and the case arose after the father died then the mother said she confined her to stop throwing rocks.

State Senate Endorses New Taxes On Beer In Wisconsin
