Car Train Crash Kills 2 In Minnesota
Two 18 year olds from Sherburn Minnesota died when their car struck a Chicago North Western freight hopper car at a Welcome Minnesota crossing. The car was carried 650 feet under the hopper and both the hopper and a boxcar derailed. Investigators noted skid marks started 21 feet from the crossing, indicating the youths did not see the train until late. Earlier Monday another pair died in a U.S. 10 collision involving two heavy trucks.
