A L Eidemiller former traveling passenger agent for the C B and Q is named general agent for the Green Bay and Western and the La Crosse and Southeastern. He will oversee traffic for both lines in the western territory with separate operations and has offices in the old National Bank building. He departs for Viroqua to confer with officials on the matter.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court affirmed judge Fruit's earlier ruling in the Lindemann Rusk dispute from Viroqua. The case involved the transfer of bank accounts and goodwill after Rusk's death, with the Rusk heirs seeking a receiver and reimbursement. The court sustained the $17,000 award to the Rusk heirs.
La Crosse and Southeastern railway officials plan an opening excursion between La Crosse and Viroqua early in July likely July 4, tied to Viroqua’s celebration. A test run is promised around July 1 after the overhead South Junction bridge is completed and the line inspected for business men’s excursion plans.
