Chicago bond bid dispute delays city projects and bonds
A special representative arrived from Chicago after learning of possible bond losses. He sought a council reconsideration to allow Farson Leach and company to purchase the high school and street bonds along with fire station and engine bonds after form changes. City officials doubt the firm’s motives, citing past tricks in 1901 with water refunding bonds and a failed bid.
