Adcock Believes He Loves Hitting At Ebbets Field
Milwaukee Brave first baseman Joe Adcock, back from a benching, belted three homers against Brooklyn in a doubleheader sweep that pulled Milwaukee within two games of the Pirates. He hit one blast over the left field roof off Ed Roebuck with a bat borrowed from Carl Furillo, a homer thought to be the first out of the park in left field at Ebbets. Adcock said he loves hitting there and would reach the same homer pace if he played half a season in Brooklyn.
