Poison Ivy Cure Shows Results In Minnesota Itasca Study
University of Minnesota forestry professor Henry Hansen reports that esters of 2 4 D and 2 4 5 T achieved 95 percent control of poison ivy in Itasca state park after a 1948 effort. Summer sophomores at the forestry station saw no ivy injuries last year. Early spraying, shade differences, and careful handling of equipment reduced risks to students and plants alike.
