Old La Crosse Home Of Allen Family Receives Portraits
The 12 room McMillan residence at 214 South Seventh Street, built by Leonard Lottredge for Alexander McMillan, is described as a costlier landmark with walnut millwork, murals by Mrs McMillan, a 50 000 dollar value, and late owners the Allens who bought it in 1906. The home features a daylong winding staircase, a grand chandelier, and historic photos of era buildings.
