Sparta Man Dies At Marshfield From Crash Injuries
Sparta resident Jewell B. Saunders aged 76 died in a Marshfield hospital from injuries suffered in a June 3 car crash in Marshfield. His wife Irene was injured but recovering. A sister, Mrs. Jenny Cummings of Port Hueneme California, remained in critical condition. Services set for 1:30 p.m. Monday at Sparta Methodist Church with Knights of Pythias burial rites at Melrose Cemetery. Survivors include his widow and three grandchildren.

Two Fatal Crashes Reported Near Twin Cities
A man and a woman died in separate traffic crashes in the Twin Cities area, while an Air Force sergeant was killed in a third accident near Sauk Rapids. Donald Daubenspeck, 36, of White Bear Lake died after a two car collision in Maplewood. Alice Labott, 49, of Coon Rapids died in a downtown Minneapolis crash.
