Miss Mamie Nesler a 20 year old teacher daughter of Mr and Mrs Nesler of 1534 Berlin street was struck by a C M and St P fast mail train as she rushed toward the North side depot to join a picnic party. The collision crushed ribs punctured a lung and caused instant death. Witnesses recount confusion as a freight train clearance blocked the crossing and the girl ran onto the passenger track unaware of the approaching mail train.

Barnum Relic Cannon Fire Sends Boy Up a Tree
