Wisconsin Boards of Review set for July hearings
Wisconsin property owners face July meetings of town and village boards of review to contest 1945 tax assessments for 1946 payment. Protests in writing must reach the city tax commissioner by July, with Milwaukee following its own schedule. Total state-wide assessed value rose from 4.246 to 4.308 billion dollars between 1943 and 1944, per the state department of taxation. The alliance urged owners to inspect records, present sworn testimony, and compare property values with similarly situated properties.
