A runaway dirigible crashes into New York skyscrapers as its engine fails, plunging the craft into a perilous battle to save lives. Fire crews respond while onlookers watch in shock as the air vessel lists and descends amid smoke and sirens.
Frank Owens, an aeronaut, piloted a runaway dirigible from Hillside Park Belleville to New York. After near misses around city hall and a dramatic descent, ballast was shed and a rope aided restraining the craft. The balloon then floated into Brooklyn where it became tangled in a tree before rescue.
Distinguished visitors from many lands participated in the 163rd annual commencement at Princeton University in Alexander Hall. Degrees were conferred on 218 members of the class of 1910.

Coroner's jury finds John H. Studier died at 7 30 p m Saturday June 11 1910 in La Crosse Wisconsin from bullet wounds inflicted about 5 p m the same day. Wounds caused by a revolver fired by Matt Ruesgen who the jury says killed Studier.
Coroner's jury inquest heard witnesses describe the shooting scene involving Ruesgen and Studier. Testimony from 11 and 15 year old boys, shop workers, and police linked Ruesgen to the fatal confrontation. suspect reportedly left the button works after cashing his check and drinking beer.

The House Rules Committee heard claims that agents of President Diaz opened letters to liberal Mexican sympathizers and resealed them. Six rifled envelopes were shown as evidence as witnesses described mail tampering and political influence tied to Diaz and the Mexican liberal movement.
