La Crosse High School Class of 1913 Graduation Program
The La Crosse High School will hold the 1913 commencement at 8 p.m. Thursday in the La Crosse Theater. Principal Miss Janet Anderson leads 104 graduates in a program of class members and the school orchestra and glee club. Highlights include Hail and Farewell by Anderson, various solos, a piano solo, and a violin piece, with speeches limited to six minutes each.

Davison Inquest Draws Massive Crowd In England
A vast throng filled the inquest at EPSOM into Miss Emily Davison's death the suffragette who disrupted the derby. Captain Henry Davison testified his sister was of sound mind and the coroner's jury ruled the death a misadventure. The crowd wore mourning bands and Jockey Jones, injured in the incident, was absent recovering in hospital.

Merchants Organize Steamboat Outing From Main Street
Tomorrow a group of retail merchants will sail the steamer St. Paul from the foot of Main Street at 9 a m for a day cruise to Trempealeau and Winona with lunch coffee and an orchestra on board. The trip returns by 6 30 p m to La Crosse for families friends and children with tickets priced at 50 cents for adults 25 cents for children.

Sugar lobbyists before senators in Washington hearing

Postmaster Examination Set for Chaseburg Office

McGregor dig uncovers silverware stolen from church
In McGregor Iowa Joseph Quigley and Edward Hill found several large pieces of silver while digging an Indian mound for relics. The silverware was stolen thirty two years ago from St Marys church during a bold burglary by a band never caught. Residents recall the crime and believe the robbers hid the loot in the mounds to retrieve later.

Arbitration settles dispute of Gate way City and La Crosse coopers
