Temporary Animal Shelter At Coulee Industrial Park
A temporary animal shelter may open in a month at Trish Hill Stables in Shelby. Suzanne Crossman of the Coulee Region Humane Society says all stray and lost dogs brought by police or private citizens will be accepted, with no boarding facilities. Approval from the Shelby Town Board is in place and a contract with the riding center owner remains. A permanent shelter is planned on two acres at Hauser and Larson Streets in Coulee Sites Industrial Park.
