Dean of La Crosse Lawyer Burroughs Dies Sunday
One of La Crosse's earliest lawyers and a veteran of the state, Dean Burroughs died Sunday after years of frail health. Funeral will be held Tuesday from his residence. Born in Warren County Ohio, he moved to La Crosse as a youth, formed the Lyndes & Burroughs firm, later practiced alone, and served as city attorney. He was famed as a courteous old-school gentleman and a valued local historian.
