The White House said Nixon will take appropriate action by Thursday to challenge three subpoenas for presidential tape recordings and documents. Deputy Press Secretary Warren noted the response will follow the letters sent to Archibald Cox and the Senate committee, with final decision by the President and possible court involvement.
