A massive cottonwood fell through the northwest corner of Rev. A. M. Ivey’s home at 315 South Ninth Street at 10 this morning, narrowly missing Arthur Amundson who slept in his room. An auditorium fund committee will be appointed at the Germania hall gathering of the Saengerfest association directors and officers to begin soliciting immediately. Architect Hugo Schick says a permanent building with stage seating and lighting could be ready for the Saengerfest by July 23, 1908.
