Helicopter Crash Fatal To 2 Women At Date Festival
A three place helicopter crashed in flames near a crowd of 25 000 at the National Date Festival in Indio California. Two women Kay Marilyn Parrott 27 Oceanside and Margaret Mary Posechl Camarillo died. Pilot Joseph Fudurich 37 Van Nuys was seriously injured. a passerby helped smother the flames. Parrotts husband Marine Sgt Howard Parrott and their two children witnessed the crash. The craft was taking fare paying passengers on aerial tours.

Recount Cuts Rolvaag Lead by 119 Votes in Minnesota Race

Last Veteran of Indian Campaigns Dies at 82
Lt. Col. Charles H. Clinton, 82, a survivor of the Indian campaigns, died Sunday at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base hospital after a stroke. He enlisted in 1898, fought at Bear Island, Minn., and served in the Spanish-American War and Boxer Rebellion. He later saw action in World War I and, in World War II, worked with the Selective Service Commission.
