North Crawford District hires firm to cost school replacements
The North Crawford Board of Education and Citizens Advisory Committee plan to hire Durand Deininger Kramer and Gordon to determine costs for replacing obsolete buildings in the district. They will also assess consolidating Gays Mills and Soldiers Grove elementary schools and moving ninth graders to the Gays Mills high school. The action follows state orders on heating ventilation toilet and fire safety upgrades and possible building abandonment, a decade of review, and prior failed proposals. A January meeting with the committee and architects is planned.
