William Zenker reviews the Viterbo Fine Arts Center production of The Play of King Herod directed by Louis Campbell. The piece emphasizes Herod's encounter with the Christ child, with strong performances by Dick Reinborn Danie Johnson Wilmot and Joseph J Keller and solid musical direction by Sister Cyrilla Barr. The reviewer notes moments of monotony and praises set design, cast, and the post show Madrigal party, while suggesting more varied pathos could deepen certain roles.
