Wisconsin residents will see a new three percent state tax on next month’s residential telephone bills and on intra state toll charges after August 15. The Wisconsin Telephone Association and state tax officials outline tax application to local service and toll messages while coin and pay station calls are exempt. The plan initially included taxes on installation charges but these were removed by the legislature.
