Americans Boost Yearly Vacation Spending And Travel
By year end nearly 100 million Americans will vacation away from home with a record 1,012,000 visiting Europe and 205,000 in the Far East spending hundreds of millions. Auto trips dominate 75.9 percent of vacations while average costs run $31 daily for a six to eight day trip. Overseas travel leans to economy class with Europe prices $900 to $2,500, averaging about $1,200.
