Watterson Rites Held On Monday
Funeral services for Franklin Grady Watterson were held Monday at Mountain Rest Cemetery. He died Sunday afternoon at his Yorke Road home after an illness. Rev. J. H. Brendall officiated. Watterson, a Mountain native, was the son of Noah F. Fraterman and Emma Ida Goforth. He worked at Crawford's Market and is survived by four daughters, a son, a brother, four sisters, and several grandchildren.

Resignation of Kings Mountain First Baptist Pastor
Rev. L. C. Pinnix announced from the pulpit he will resign as First Baptist Church pastor effective June 4 to accept a call to the Drew Mississippi church. The Drew church has 722 members. Pinnix will move soon with his wife to their new home. He served Kings Mountain from Jacksonville North Carolina and Burlington prior to Louisville seminary. Under his tenure the church of about 530 members began a large educational addition.

Fred Wright faced septic ordinance violations. prayer for judgment continued and costs to be paid. Gaither Theodore Proper fined for illegal construction for beverage purposes and to pay costs. Joseph Fishbein of Orlando forfeited $50 bond on speeding 70–75. Tamarn rnhardt of Gastonia fined $25 and costs for driving without an operator's permit. Peter L. Donahus of Monks Corner forfeited $25 bond on speeding 55.

Bloodmobile Here Again On Tuesday
The Red Cross Bloodmobile returns to Kings Mountain on Tuesday for an all day visit. Officials hope to collect at least 100 pints of blood from volunteers. Donor cards are mailed this weekend urging town residents to visit the Bloodmobile unit at the Woman's Club from 10 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
