Nebo Valley Faithful Echoes In Long Column

A Nebo Valley reader recounts local vignettes and opinion pieces from life on the town’s police beat to fishing trips at Lake Lure. The writer muses on religion, politics, race, and war while sharing memories of milk goats, Progressive Farmer narratives, and a neighbor Vester Weir who enjoys the column. He rails at taxes and rent, praises the American Legion, and critiques Truman’s civil rights stance, closing with a poetic aside about storms and weather.
