Destructive Kingman Fire Destroys Ratcliff Barn and Home
Fire swept the Ratcliff farm near Kingman early Friday, gutting the barn and leaving the house scorched but intact. Firefighters and local volunteers fought from about 3 to 6 am, saving some oats and wheat, with total damage near 4000 dollars. The house is insured and repairs underway. In other news the Carnegie Library site at Elisha Pithead corner was secured with about 1550 dollars in local funding. a new library building may be erected this fall.
