Attica Scene of Brutal Murder
In Attica last Thursday night Anna Crumley wife of Gilbert Crumley was killed with an ax. Gilbert Crumley is jailed on murder charges as evidence including a bloodstained ax and footprints ties him to the crime. The Fountain County grand jury returned a first degree murder indictment and Crumley pleads not guilty with trial slated for November.

City Council Accepts State Street Improvement
At a special meeting last Wednesday the City Council approved the completed State street improvement. The project cost about 10 207 dollars with roughly 2 000 paid by the town for street and alley crossings. Contractors were paid in full and released. a detailed statement will be provided next week if possible.

Wilber Woody born March 24 1872 died Oct 6 1912 at age 40 years 6 months 12 days. He leaves a wife four children James 13 Jessie 11 Clive 8 Louisa 20 months and two step sons Leonard and Chester Renick. Also a mother four brothers and three sisters and a large circle of relatives.
