Death by Own Action Claimed for Lee Abernathy at Home
Lee Abernathy age about twenty two ended his life at home near Cates by shooting himself in the heart with a 32 caliber revolver. He had suffered from tuberculosis and had previously refused return to Rockville Sanitarium. Coroner ruled death from an in personal crisis intent. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Snoddy church with burial nearby.

The couple long resided at the old homestead near New Liberty.

Youth in Jail after Rifle Theft in Veedersburg
