Aging farmer C W Swaim dies suddenly near Tangier
C W Swaim an elderly farmer south of Tangier died of heart disease Tuesday while assisting a neighbor with fodder shredding. He fell from a low wheel farm truck, gasped once or twice, and died at home. He was 79 and left daughter Sophia. Funeral services were held at the Friends church in Tangier yesterday at 10 o clock with Rev Airhart officiating.

A Roaring Big Time Fox Hunt and Feast in Parke County
About three hundred men and forty hounds joined a Monday night fox chase west of Bloomingdale. The feast included a roasted hog, duck, goose, chicken, fish, potatoes, coffee and beer.
