Gilbert Ratcliff is valedictorian and Gilbert Sowers salutatorian as four weeks remain in the school year. The class averages 86.4 percent with eight girls and eight boys. Melvina McFerrin born March 25 1865 in Parke County Indiana died March 12 1914 at Tangier aged 48 going on 49. She married Albert McFerrin December 17 1887 and moved from West Union to Tangier in August 1887.
