Wallace Commencement Honors Jackson Township Graduates
Wednesday night saw Wallace host the annual commencement in a crowded church. Supt Sheckle Rev Whitman Edward Wiggam and trustee Robt Kraut led a formal ceremony with diplomas for six high school and thirteen common school graduates. Flowers colors mottos and banners enhanced decorations in what locals called one of the best commencements in Jackson township.

No Concert For Wallace Alumni Banquet
A number of band members will travel to Wallace tomorrow night to perform at the Alumni banquet, so no band concert will be held. The group regrets disappointing music lovers and generous donors. A concert may be held Saturday night a week if weather cooperates.

Lightning Kills Horses in Barn Collapse at Woodrow Farm
A fierce electrical storm near Cates injures farm owner John Woodrow’s stock as a barn is struck and shattered. Three horses die instantly and another is fatally injured. the barn suffers severe structural damage though it does not burn. Insurance coverage was minimal.

Knights of Pythias members honor deceased brothers
Fountain Lodge No. 24 K of P decorated the graves at Tangier Rushcreek and Harveysburg cemeteries in a solemn service. Rev O E Kelley and C H Ratcliff with others gave addresses while a trained choir performed appropriate songs drawing many visitors.
