Undergoes Serious Operation at Culver Hospital
M P Rowlett, in precarious condition for weeks, underwent a delicate operation at Culver hospital in Crawfordsville at 8 o clock Saturday. Dr Barcus led the surgical team and the diagnosis of a pus forming collection near the right lung proved correct as almost a quart of pus was drained. The recovery will take several months though he returned home Wednesday evening greatly improved.

Former Richland resident attempts suicide at Covington farm
William Parent, ex resident of Richland township, attempted death by taking muriatic acid at William Ward farm northeast of Covington Monday morning. He was found and treated by a physician who counteracted the poison. He said the act followed heavy drinking and misused funds belonging to the threshing firm where he is a member.
