Bonebrake Reunion Celebrates 80th Birthday Attended by Kin
The 23rd annual Bonebrake reunion gathered July 22 in Cornelius Bonebrake’s grove near Veedersburg. 126 relatives arrived, three new members Art E. Bonebrake Lake Village and Peter Clyde Bonebrake Butler were admitted. Chief Cornelius marked his 80th birthday as the hatchet was buried and a noon feast followed by games and music. Attendees from a distance included Carnan Bonebrake Fort Wayne Pete Clyde Bonebrake Butler William Chas Bonebrake Columbus Edward Kales Xenia Fred Bonebrake Eldrade James Bonebrake Ridgefarm and Dolph Bonebrake Portland.

Obituary of Lancelot Ewbank Civil War veteran
Lancelot Chapman Ewbank born July 20 1837 in Dearborn County Indiana. He moved to Parke County and served in Col 31st Reg Vol Inf during the Civil War with battles at Stone River and Chicamanga where he was wounded. He married Mary Ratcliff March 8 1865 and had seven children. He moved to Kingman seven years before his death and was a deacon of Pleasant Grove Christian church. He died July 21 1910 aged 73 after a brief illness. Interment in Cashatt cemetery attended by comrades.

Assault in Cayuga Ends with Fractured Skull
Dave Adams of Cayuga faced a preliminary hearing before Justice Spriggs on a charge of assault to kill Alexander Campbell. In a blacksmith shop dispute, Adams struck Campbell with a hammer, fracturing his skull and causing severe injuries. Campbell received medical care from Dr. F. C. Darroch and remained under bond while the case proceeds.

A Successful Operation on Elmer Alward
Elmer Alward underwent a painful internal haemorrhoids operation yesterday afternoon. Dr. Clark of Indianapolis led the procedure with Dr. F. S Cuthbert of this place and Dr. Martin of Indianapolis assisting. Alward was in a critical condition, and the operation was his hopeful remedy. Dr. Cuthbert said the patient emerged from ether and would soon be well. His friends wish him a speedy recovery.

Our Streets Are Oiled In Kingman Town Cleanup
Kingman merchants ordered barrels of oil and last Friday the oil arrived. They cleaned sidewalks and streets in front of stores and spread the oil, which reduced dust and settled into the soil.
